Anticlimactic

Laurel did not arrive today.  Unfortunately, the airline did not allow her to board because her maiden name is on the passport while her married name is on everything else.  This has delayed her a day (hopefully!) and caused additional expense and frustration.  I know airline security is strict, but this doesn't make me feel any safer about flying.

Tonight it was raining and I was hungry, so I decided to stop by a place I've been meaning to try: Moaburger.  Moaburger is about halfway between me and the Rynek Główny, which is to say that it's not very far.  Going there may have been a bad idea.  This place would give Five Guys a run for its money.  Take a look below.  The bottle is in there for perspective.  Those of you that know me, this burger was far bigger than the palm of my hand.

I didn't order fries and was glad I didn't.  The burger itself was delicious and sufficient.  I'll be going back there at some point.

After dinner it had stopped raining, so I decided to go on a walk in order to cancel out a bit of the burger.  (The run tomorrow morning should help, too.)  I happened across a nice view of the Planty, so I decided to take a picture of it for all of you.  This is on one of the stretches of the Planty where there are walls on one side, so it's straight and there are no streets going across it.

I also realized that while I've posted pictures of St. Mary's Basilica, I haven't done enough justice to other churches in Kraków.  This is the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, located a little south of Rynek Główny.  While not the center of attention like St. Mary's, it is beautiful.  This church also puts on regular classical music concerts (admission charged, I believe).

Truth be told, most of my thoughts are with Laurel at this point.  I hope this set of flights will go off without a hitch and she'll be here tomorrow.

I sincerely hope I'm having a very enjoyable evening with you tomorrow, too. I need to post my own entry on the fiasco at the airport last night!
