A long week ahead

My wife has her tickets!  If all goes well, she'll be here this time next week.  Although I've only been in Kraków for 11 days, it's amazing how much I've learned, as evidenced by all the things I feel compelled to tell her about getting from point A(irport) to M(e).  Tickets, trains, where to go from the platform, what to expect on the train, etc., all things that I was very confused about at first.  It will be a delicate balance between helping her out and driving her insane before she gets here.

I decided to venture a little bit outside my usual haunts into Kleparz.  However, I didn't get very far, mostly because I was hungry and decided to eat at a little Polish kitchen that looked good.  I didn't take a picture of my food (again, I was hungry), but I did take a picture of the view from the table while I was waiting.

I've mentioned in before in at least one photo, but I thought that the Barbican deserved a little more attention.  This structure is located at the north end of the Planty, and looks impressive even when viewed from across the street:

After this short excursion out of the ring of the Planty, I returned back to it, mostly because I didn't want to be out exploring after dark.  Kraków is fine after dark; my sense of direction is less so. I did feel adventurous enough to stop by a small shop and purchase a Magnum ice cream bar, though.  Those things are good!  They have them in the US, too, folks.  Do yourself a favor - don't buy one.  It'll be one less addiction to fight.

Kasia taught me how to ask for a train ticket from the airport tonight! Woo-hoo! I'll be all set.

I have a tendency to overload Josh with information as well. Sometimes, he has to say, "I know, Sara"/"I'll be fine, Sara" about 3 times before I get the hint.
